MILFORD — Meet Milford hosted an inaugural Christmas tree lighting on the lawn of the Town Hall on Saturday, Dec. 2. Before the lighting ceremony, Meet Milford hosted an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner and ice cream sundae bar in the community building.
Right before the tree lighting ceremony, Patricia Gall passed out LED-light candles and a Christmas carol lyric packet. Sierra Clark-Kern gave a short speech, calling Milford “a very special place made up of very special people.” Andy and Cheryl Gall led the large crowd through multiple Christmas carols.
Karena Wilkinson, Sierra Clark-Kern, Patricia Gall and Angela Deak had the honorable roll of plugging in the Christmas light cord. As soon as the tree lit up, the crowd ooh-ed and ahh-ed at the beautiful tree. To conclude the ceremony, the Galls led the crowd through one more carol: “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.”
After this year’s successful turn out, it’s safe to say Meet Milford has created a new Milford Christmas tradition.
