Syracuse Man Arrested For Intimidation, Criminal Mischief

SYRACUSE — A Syracuse man was arrested for allegedly threatening to harm people while in possession of a knife.
Ricky Lee Bryant Jr., 30, 1003 N. Harrison St., Syracuse, is charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony; and criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.
On Nov. 24, a Syracuse Police officer responded to a fight. A woman said Bryant came at her with a knife and left the scene on foot. The officer found Bryant, who said he didn’t remember what happened.
According to court documents, the woman said Bryant approached her with a knife, which led the woman to lock herself in a bedroom. Bryant stabbed the bedroom door and threatened to harm the woman’s relatives. The officer saw two stab marks in the door and noticed the blade was still stuck in the door.
Bryant said he got upset and agreed with what the woman said had happened.
Bryant has already been arrested and released on his own recognizance. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, in Kosciusko Superior Court Three.
