GOSHEN — Downtown Goshen Inc. will be presenting the Fire and Ice Festival on Friday, Jan. 5, in downtown Goshen to kick off First Fridays for 2024.

Visitors can watch professional ice carvers transform 300-pound blocks of ice into pieces of art throughout the downtown area. Carvers will begin their work at noon.

Activities will continue in the evening, from 5-8 p.m. Fire dancers will be performing downtown. Children can come dressed like royalty to have their picture taken as they sit on an ice throne or ice sleigh. Downtown businesses, retailers and restaurants, will offer food, warm drinks and shopping deals.

Complimentary marshmallows also will be available for toasting over an outdoor fire.
