WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted a ribbon cutting for their new sign off of US 30 on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

“For well over a year this has been a work in progress, so we are both grateful and hopeful of the impact this sign will have on, and for, our county,” explained Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Cori Humes. “The installation of this new sign will assist in the sharing of why Kosciusko County is a wonderful place to live, work and play. It will be a powerful promotional tool to communicate our county events and quality of life initiatives, as well as health and wellness, to the millions that travel US 30 on an annual basis, not only our residents, but also visitors and travelers.”

Humes went on to say this project was fully funded by grants, and thanked both the Kosciusko County American Rescue Plan Act Committee and Kosciusko County Convention, Recreation and Visitors Commission for making the sign installation possible.

Humes also recognized the Baldus Company, who was responsible for the design and installation of the sign. She went on to thank them for their creativity, expertise and professionalism in guiding the visitors bureau through this process and answering all of their questions.

Lastly, Humes thanked both her team at the Kosciusko County Visitors Bureau for all of their hard work, as well as the Kosciusko County Board of Directors for their guidance throughout this year-long process.

The sign was officially functional on Monday, Dec. 4. The sign’s structure is reminiscent of the former sign with its V-like shape, but now incorporates a large digital screen displaying promotional materials for events around the county.
