Tim Miner

Tim Miner, 75, Warsaw, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, surrounded by close family.

Tim was born in Warsaw on March 29, 1948, to Arnold “Pete” and Louise (McGlennen) Miner, who both preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was Kay (Leedy) Miner, the mother of his sons. Tim was a lifelong resident of Warsaw, where he knew no stranger. Tim spent his entire career in sales. In the early part of his career, he enjoyed car sales at Jud Cook Chevrolet and Tim Miner Auto Sales. In the latter part of his sales career, Tim sold boats for Main Channel Marina on Lake Wawasee and retired after 20 years.

Following his retirement, he continued to be a regular for karaoke night at the Moose Lodge in Warsaw, where he was always surrounded by many friends and accompanied by his partner of 27 years and wife of 13 years, Loretta (Marshall) Miner. In his leisure time, Tim was plotting strategies and charting statistics on his ponies and poker tournaments. In recent years, his passion and focus had been caring for Loretta, visiting with family and being a good neighbor and friend.

Tim had more friends than can be counted and had an amazing and extensive family. He is survived not only by his wife, Loretta, but also by his sons, Gavin Miner (Shay Wenzel) and Darren Miner (Tammy Keirn), six grandkids and three great-grandkids, his sister, Wahnema (Steve) Hardin, nephew, Cory Hardin, niece, Elyse Hardin, and many cousins. He is further survived by his children in marriage, Judy (Ralph) Carmona, Lawney (Lisa) Francis, William Marshall, Brandi (Gary) Opperman, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
