WARSAW — One person was taken to the hospital after a wreck by the Warsaw Martin’s on Monday, Dec. 18.

It happened at 10:11 a.m. on Husky Trail south of Mariners Drive.

According to a Warsaw Police Department accident report, Dawn M. Bass, 55, Warsaw, was traveling northbound on Husky Trail in a gray 2017 Mazda. She said Brittany L. Walowski, 31, Warsaw, was traveling southbound on Husky Trail near the entrance to Martin’s.

Walowski was driving a red 2017 Nissan Altima.

Bass said Walowski turned in front of her vehicle, causing a collision. The wreck caused Bass’ vehicle to hit a blue 2019 Nissan Maxima driven by Douglas S. Holtzclaw, 72, Syracuse, which had been stopped at a stop sign in the Martin’s parking lot.

Walowski was unresponsive for most of the time on scene and couldn’t give a statement. She was taken to Parkview Warsaw for treatment.

Walowski was cited for expired registration and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.

The accident damage is estimated at up to $50,000.
