Candidate Filing Begins Jan. 10

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Candidate filing for the 2024 primary elections May 7, will begin Wednesday, Jan. 10 and continue until noon, Friday, Feb. 9.
Local offices on the ballot and current office holders include:
- Judge of Kosciusko Circuit Court — Michael Reed.
- Clerk of the Circuit Court — Ann Torpy.
- County Treasurer — Michelle Puckett.
- County Coroner — Tyler Huffer.
- County Surveyor — Michael Kissinger.
- County Commissioner, Northern District — Brad Jackson.
- County Commissioner Middle District — Cary Groninger.
- County Council at-large, three seats — Joni Truex, SueAnn Mitchell and Kathy Groninger.
- Republican Precinct Committeemen.
- Republican State Convention Delegates.
- Democrat State Convention Delegates.
Declaration of candidacy forms for a local office, precinct committeeman or state delegate are available at the county clerk of the court office or online. Forms for a candidate’s statement of economic interest and Indiana Campaign finance information from the secretary of state’s office is also available online.
The 2024 general election in November will include school board elections. Filing for those seats will begin May 21 and go through noon, June 20.
School boards holding elections and positions are:
- Tippecanoe Valley School Board, districts 1 and 2.
- Wa-Nee School Board, Scott and Jefferson townships and two at-large positions; Olive Township in Elkhart County.
- Whitko School Board, districts 1, 2 ad 3.
- Triton School Board, one at-large seat; District 3 in Marshall County.
- Warsaw Community School, districts 3, 4 and 6.
- Wawasee Community School Board, district 1, 2 and 3.
