Area Police Reports
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 4:55 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 4500 block CR 750W, Rochester. The owner of a home reported previous tenants removed outlets and light switches.
- 11:01 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 200 block Davis Street, Fulton. A woman called and reported she had her dog outside contained and on her side of the yard, when the neighbor’s dog came over and attempted to bite hers. She reportedly told the neighbors to come get their dog and they came over causing problems. Police spoke with both parties and the woman who called police advised she did make a comment about shooting the neighbors dog to the owner, which made him mad. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other.
- 11:58 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 200 block Toner Street, Kewanna. Police received a report of a male looking in vehicles and taking pictures of houses. Police were unable to locate any one walking around.
- 7:33 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 800 block Pontiac Street, Rochester. A resident reported neighbors keep pointing a laser into their residence from a toy gun. Police spoke to a man who stated it was his juveniles pointing the laser into the neighbors house, he took the laser and stated there would be no more issues.
- 7:02 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2000 block Peace Tree Village, Rochester. Officials at Kroger reported someone tried to pass fake bills. No transaction took place. The cashier knew the bills were fake and the customer was attempting to buy gift cards. The customer took the bills with him when he left. A description was given to police.
- 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, US 31 and CR 1000N, Miami County. Miami County officials reported they have officers attempting to catch up to a white Ford Taurus traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour. The vehicle crossed their CR 1600N into Fulton County. Miami County officials were unable to catch up to the vehicle due to traffic. Fulton County officials reported they were in the area of South Wabash and the vehicle was clocked at 105 mph. The vehicle was stopped at 3:06 p.m. at US 31 and SR 25. The driver was arrested for reckless driving.
- 9:22 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 4600 block SR 25, Rochester. A caller reported her Buick LaCrosse is missing from her residence. It was last seen around 9:30 last night. The female caller reported there is a female staying with her that must have taken the key off the night stand and took the vehicle. She wants charges filed.
- 10:27 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2000 block Peace Tree Village, Rochester. Police were notified of two trucks with teenagers parked near KFC dancing in shopping carts in front of the trucks. Police only observed one unoccupied truck in the area and did not see anyone dancing in shopping carts.
- 5:36 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2100 block Southway 31, Rochester. A caller reported a white mini van parked in front of the motel with people going in and out of the van. People are also doing the same to a room. The caller stated he was unsure what they are doing, it just seems suspicious.
