Dean W. Everest, 86, New Paris, died at 2 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at The Waters of Wakarusa.

He was born Nov. 6, 1937. On June 22, 1956, he married Lorita Hess, who survives.

He also is survived by three children, Rick (Jill) Everest, New Paris, Shari (Gary) Searer, Nappanee, and Peggy (Jeff) Wisler, New Paris; a son-in-law, Jeff McElheny, Goshen; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Stump, Goshen.
