Applications Open To Warsaw Grads For Pfleiderer Scholarship

WARSAW — Applications are being accepted for the Robert and Esther Pfleiderer Scholarship, administered by 1st Source Bank.
The four-year scholarship was created by longtime Warsaw residents Bob and Esther Pfleiderer. Both Bob and Esther were born and raised in Warsaw. Esther graduated from Manchester College and received her master’s degree from Purdue University. She taught math in the Warsaw school system for 39 years. She was active in the community and was involved with the work of many organizations, including First Presbyterian Church, Warsaw Community Public Library, the Salvation Army, Kosciusko County Community Foundation and the Kosciusko County Historical Society. In 1982, she was selected as Warsaw’s Woman of the Year. Bob graduated from Purdue University with a degree in civil engineering and served for many years as the county surveyor.
More than $2 million has been awarded to graduates of Warsaw Community High School from the Pfleiderer Scholarship.
The scholarship is available to graduates of Warsaw Community High School. Applications are available from the Wealth Advisory Services Department at 1st Source Bank, downtown Warsaw office, 325 S. Lake St. The completed application must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, in the 1st Source Bank Wealth Advisory Services Department’s office at 325 S. Lake St., Warsaw, IN 46580-4315.
