WARSAW — Each month, we at Warsaw Community Public Library come here to bring you information, news and book suggestions from Children’s Services. We’ve introduced our three new employees using an interview format. We’ve let you know what’s going on in our department during the current month. Now it’s your turn.
We would love feedback from our favorite patrons (you’re all our favorites). Please let us know what you like about our department. We have comment cards available in Circulation and in Children’s Services.
What do you think of the atmosphere? What about the resources we offer? Do you need more information on how to find what you’re looking for?
We want to continue our commitment to be a community library, and we would love to have your input. What programs would you like to see at the library? Do you have any helpful suggestions for us? If called upon, would you be willing to help us with book donations or to assist with a program? We do take donations of gently used books any time.
Back to what we offer to you, our supporters and hopefully frequent users of our resources, be looking for our story times to return in mid-January. On Wednesday, Jan. 17, our Toddler Story Time will resume. This begins at 10:15, after our 10 a.m. opening time. We enjoy stories, songs, movement and finger plays for about 20 minutes, then have a half-hour playtime. Many caregivers have met others with children of like age and have connected and met outside the library. That makes us very happy.
Friday, Jan. 19, will see the resumption of Preschool Story Times for children ages 3 through 5 at 10:15. Mr. Duane will read stories and lead the little ones (and their caregivers) through some fun and games. The next hour will be devoted to activity stations. Kids love it, and parents, grandparents, nannies and baby-sitters keep bringing them back.
Winter Reading started on Jan. 3, and will continue through Feb. 29. This is for all ages, and you can register online with the Beanstack app, or you can come in for paper registration. We aim to please.
Please come and see us at Warsaw Community Public Library at 310 E. Main St. in Warsaw. Our website can be found at warsawlibrary.org.
