Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, North SR 15, north of West Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Driver: Gloria Ruiz, 51, North Old SR 15, Warsaw. Cristian B. Jimenez, Akron, said his vehicle began to stall and he pulled his vehicle off SR 15, putting his flashers on. Ruiz said she attempted to stop her vehicle to avoid a collision when her vehicle slid off the roadway, hitting a utility pole, fence, and house at 4559 N. SR 15. Ruiz complained of chest pain. Damage up to $50,000.
• 12:21 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, South Country Club Road, near East CR 600S, Warsaw. Driver: Rebecca E. Miller, 45, East Market Street, Warsaw. Miller’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting some small trees and bushes. Damage up to $2,500.
• 6:57 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, North CR 500W, south of West CR 1200N, Milford. Driver: Timothy L. Bernier, 41, West Van Buren Street, Leesburg. Bernier’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting a mailbox and two guardrails. Damage up to $25,000.
• 4:34 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, North CR 300E, north of East CR 750N, Milford. Driver: Rafael B. Hernandez, 27, East Woodland Court, Leesburg. Hernandez’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting an REMC utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
• 7:44 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, East CR 550N, east of North CR 100E, Leesburg. Driver: Sylvester Trujillo, 21, South James Street, Milford. Trujillo’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting an REMC utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
• 7:06 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, Old Road 30, near West CR 525S, Warsaw. Driver: Logan Meeks, 18, West Sunset Drive, Bourbon. Meeks’ vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
• 4:20 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, East SR 14, near South Packerton Road, Silver Lake. Drivers: Kent J. Kleeman, 61, North Teeple Avenue, Leesburg; and Grant A. Meranda, 28, Ray Street, Crawfordsville. Kleeman’s and Meranda’s vehicles sideswiped each other. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

• 3:29 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Ashley Gardner, 38, East Bowser Road, Syracuse; and Jacob Nusbaum, 20, East Nordman Drive, Syracuse. While backing out of a parking space, Gardner’s vehicle struck Nusbaum’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
