WARSAW — Cary Groninger is seeking his second full term as Kosciusko County commissioner.
He recently filed to run as a Republican in the May 2024 primary for the county’s middle district county commissioner seat.
Groninger, of Mentone, has served that district since 2017, having been chosen by GOP caucus that year to finish out the term of Ron Truex.
He said he wants another term to help see through some projects such as those through the Kosciusko County Parks and Recreation Board and the county’s participation in the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs’ Hoosier Enduring Legacy Program.
Groninger said he also wants to be involved as the county works on strategic planning for the future and OrthoWorx uses the $30 million from the state in orthopedic retention funds.
“It’s a really exciting time,” he said of the county working on projects.
“We’re so blessed in our county,” he added, referring to the county’s natural resources and economic ones and said he wanted to work to utilize those strengths further.
Groninger co-owns G&G Hauling & Excavating. He’s been married to Kathy Groninger for almost 29 years, and they have two sons and a daughter.
