Riley Resigns from Jefferson Township Advisory Board, Caucus Feb. 19

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP — Robert (Bob) Riley, a member of the Jefferson Township Advisory Board, submitted his resignation Friday, Jan. 26, effective immediately.
Due to his resignation, Mike Ragan, Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee Chairman, announced there will be a caucus at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, to fill the vacancy. The caucus will be held at the Kosciusko County Republican Headquarters, 123 W. Center St., Warsaw.
Eligible members of the caucus, by statutory definition, are the Republican Precinct committee members who have served continuously from 30 days before the start of the caucus.
The Jefferson Township Trustee Board member will be elected by secret ballot of the majority of members of the voting caucus to fill the vacancy in the office.
Candidates for the position must reside in Jefferson Township, and be a Republican in good standing. Declarations of candidacy are available the the office of the Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw and must be filled with Ragan, no later than 72 hours prior to the commencement of the caucus.
