Combined Community Services Reflects On 2023

WARSAW — Combined Community Services reported an outpouring of generosity from the community in 2023. Donations helped CCS to make an impact on the lives of people in need in Kosciusko County.
Impact Highlights
Toy Time: At the 30th annual Toy Time, 17,267 toys were consigned, donated and given to 1,635 children.
Adopt-A-Family: Through the Adopt-A-Family program, 128 families received festive cheer and essential resources during the holiday season.
Food-A-Thon: The November 2023 Food-A-Thon collected $22,408.75 in market value of food, replenishing the agency’s pantry to keep vulnerable individuals and families nourished throughout the year.
Community Programs: Local contributions fueled CCS programs, providing 7,829 food orders, helping 240 families keep their utilities on and covering 4,472 hours of case management support to those in need.
Financial Summary
Total Donations: CCS raised $34,322.60 during the year-end giving season.
Donor Support: 276 new donors joined, alongside continued support from CCS’s returning donors.
Looking Ahead
Heading into 2024, continued support remains critical. CCS reported that Kosciusko County faces ongoing challenges such as food insecurity, rising living costs and educational disparities.
