Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2495 Jalynn St., Warsaw. Drivers: Robert L. Hyatte, 40, Harvey Court, Michigan City; and Sean M. Wilson, 42, Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Hyatte’s vehicle rear-ended Wilson’s. Damage up to $2,500.
- 4:33 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, West Winona Avenue and South Washington Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Stephen J. Bailey, 43, Hickory Street, Fort Wayne; and Blaine Smith, 19, West Main Street, Mentone. Bailey’s vehicle struck Smith’s. Bailey was stopped at the West Winona Avenue and South Washington Street intersection and did not see Smith’s car. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, US 30, east of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Duane Pitre, Valley Stream Lane, Newman, Ga.; and Malinda Feeny, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Pitre’s vehicle rear-ended Feeny’s after a third vehicle cut Feeny off. Feeny reported back pain. Damage up to $2,500.
- 1:40 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 600 W. 300N, Warsaw. Driver: James Brazo, South CR 400E, Warsaw. Brazo was backing his vehicle when he hit an unoccupied, parked vehicle. Damage under $1,000.
- 9:16 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, McClellan Street, near Pope Street, Warsaw. Driver: Mauricio Carvajal, 24, Dot Street, Warsaw. Carvajal’s vehicle slid on ice and hit a building at 501 Pope St. Carvajal then fled the scene. Caravajal told officers he had been freaked out by the accident. He was arrested for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Damage up to $50,000.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

8:17 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, North SR 17 and West CR 300N, Rochester. Driver: Brandi R. Lewis, 45, Kewanna. Lewis’ vehicle hit a deer.
