Ramirez Arrested For Domestic Battery

SYRACUSE — A Syracuse man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman while in the presence of four children.
Alex Martin Ramirez, 33, 304 W. Boston St., Syracuse, is charged with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Jan. 11, a Syracuse Police officer responded to a domestic incident involving Ramirez and a woman. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer saw Ramirez and the woman arguing in the presence of four children.
According to court documents, the woman said her verbal argument with Ramirez turned physical when Ramirez allegedly slapped the side of her head and her forehead multiple times. The officer did not notice any marks on the woman’s head.
Ramirez said he was upset the four children were not asleep and poked the woman two times on her temple with his index finger.
Ramirez has already been arrested and released on bond. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, in Kosciusko Superior Court Two.
