George ‘Tim’ Paris — UPDATED
George “Tim” Paris, of Warsaw, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at Miller’s Merry Manor at the age of 81 after several years of battling dementia.
He was born on Dec. 20, 1942, in Claremont, N.H., to Marjorie (Storer) and George Philip Paris. He married Patricia “Patti” Ruberg on July 30, 1966. They were blessed with three sons and were married for 56 years before she passed away on Dec. 19, 2022.
Tim was a 1963 graduate of South Side High School in Fort Wayne, after which he worked as an apprentice for four years. They later moved to Talma, where he started Paris Tool & Die. He and Patti enjoyed spending summers at their Beaver Dam Lake cottage with family and friends. Throughout their lives, they also faithfully attended sporting events and other activities for their boys and grandchildren. He and Patti were members of the Beaver Dam Community Church in Akron. Tim and Patti moved from Talma to Warsaw in 2019.
He leaves behind three sons: Randy (Carmen) Paris, Winona Lake, Chris Paris, Carmel, and Jason (Jessica) Paris, Greencastle, Pa.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Maddie and Landon, Winona Lake, Jake and Brookelyn, Carmel, and Benjamin, Zachary and Nicholas, Greencastle, Pa.; and two brothers, John “Mick” (Sue) Paris, Stevensville, Mich., and Dave Paris, Wolcottville. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patti; daughter-in-law, Dawn Paris; and his brother, Bill Paris.
Friends and family may visit from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, as well as from 10-11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Tim’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Butch Troke. A graveside service will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Rochester.
