‘Cans For Coneys’ Helping Fort Wayne’s Lighthouse Food Bank
News Release
FORT WAYNE — The Lighthouse Food Bank is conducting its annual “Cans for Coneys” event in partnership with Skyline Chili.
Throughout the month of February, people can bring a donation of canned goods or nonperishable food items to Skyline Chili, 4021 Ice Way, Fort Wayne, during regular business hours to receive a free Skyline Cheese Coney.
“Food insecurity is growing in our community. Last year we served over 900 families through our community food bank,” said Olivia Keim, community care manager at Lighthouse Food Bank. “We need your help restocking our shelves. By donating to the Lighthouse Food Bank, you can be sure that we are changing lives, impacting families and strengthening our community.”
Lighthouse Food Bank is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located at 3000 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne.
Lighthouse is a faith-based program to help people in the community who are in need of assistance with clothing, food and biblical addiction care.
