Tracy Marie Bogner

WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested for allegedly stealing merchandise from Walmart.

Tracy Marie Bogner, 38, 340 E. Levi Lee Road Lot 58, Warsaw, is charged with theft, a class A misdemeanor; and theft with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.

On Jan. 1, a Warsaw Police officer spoke with Walmart employees regarding a theft involving Bogner.

According to court documents, the store’s surveillance footage showed Bogner bagging 11 items that were not added to her transaction while at a self-checkout lane. Bogner voided an item, then scanned the 11 items while the void prompt at the checkout lane was displayed. The register did not scan the items as the prompt needed to be cleared by an employee.

Bogner also moved multiple additional items across the scanner without the items being added to her transaction.

Employees said Bogner paid about $85 for the items in her cart and provided a receipt of 40 items that Bogner did not pay for that totaled $302.96.

Bogner has a prior conviction for theft in Kosciusko County from October 2017.

Bogner has already been arrested and released on bond.
