Warsaw Man Arrested For Stealing Vehicle, Possessing Drugs

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for allegedly stealing a van and possessing drugs.
Rocky Warren Wicker, 39, 1612 Tippecanoe Drive Apartment A., Warsaw, is charged with theft and possession of methamphetamine, both level 6 felonies.
On Feb. 21, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy was alerted to a blue 1997 Ford van being stolen from the Barbee Lakes area. A witness said she saw a man, later identified as Wicker, driving the van. The witness attempted to follow the van in her vehicle, but lost sight of him.
On Feb. 22, KCSO deputies found Wicker and the van. Upon searching the van, officers found 1.5 grams of meth.
Wicker said he stole the van because he was homeless and needed to stay warm.
Wicker was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 22, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
