Warsaw Man Faces Child Seduction Charge
Staff Report
WARSAW — A Warsaw man is facing two charges, including child seduction, after allegedly sexually abusing a child.
Raymond Clifford Barr, 33, 2914 N. Williamson Drive, is facing counts of child seduction, a Level 5 felony; and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to a Kosciusko County affidavit, on Feb. 27, the Indiana Department of Child Services contacted a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office detective regarding the alleged abuse done by Barr against the child.
The child did a forensic interview on Feb. 29 and said they got close with Barr. The child said Barr touched their genital area and the sexual contact escalated.
Barr gave the child his wedding band, and the child wore it on a necklace.
The KCSO detective spoke with Barr on March 8. Barr first denied the sexual contact, mentioning he held hands with the child a few times and the child kissed him twice.
Barr loved the child, and they talked about going away together.
Barr said he first had sex with the child in December 2023 and had sex with them a total of four-five times since December.
He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on March 8 with a $30,250 surety and cash bond.
