WWFT Chief Mayo To Resign May 1

WARSAW — Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Chief Brian Mayo is resigning.
A representative with Warsaw Mayor Jeff Grose’s office confirmed that information on Tuesday, March 12.
The mayor’s office released the following statement:
“Chief Brian Mayo informed Mayor Grose yesterday that he would be stepping down as Chief of the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory on May 1 of this calendar year.
“His reason was personal, and he also indicated that he is willing to assist with the transition process.
“His leadership for the WWFT over the past year is greatly appreciated—especially his recent efforts to help guide the Common Council and Mayor through the max levy petition.
“Chief Mayo informed his leadership team this morning (3/12) that he will be stepping down on May 1, 2024.
“During his meeting with Mayor Grose yesterday, Chief Mayo was positive and shared his appreciation for the opportunity to serve as Chief this past year.
“Mayor Grose is grateful for Chief Mayo’s service to the territory and wishes he and his family the best in their future endeavors.
