Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 8:46 a.m. Thursday, March 14, West CR 600N, near North CR 200W, Leesburg. Drivers: Richard W. Smith, 46, Glen View Drive, Indianapolis; and Brodie J. Pierson, 22, East CR 300N, Warsaw. Smith was traveling north on CR 200W and failed to stop at the CR 200W and West CR 600N intersection. Pierson and a witness said Smith disregarded the stop sign. Smith hit Pierson’s vehicle in the intersection. Smith was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for a complaint of pain to his ribs. Pierson was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for left shoulder pain. A passenger in Pierson’s vehicle, Garrett A. Albright, 20, Bourbon, was taken to LKH for a cut on his head. Damage up to $50,000.
• 8:10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, SR 14, west of CR 850W, Silver Lake. Driver: Brandt Holloway, 38, East CR 200N, Akron. Holloway’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $25,000.
• 11:27 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, CR 900N, near CR 200E, Milford. Driver: Michael A. Cannon, 55, East Maple Grove Street, Syracuse. Cannon’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
• 9:27 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, West US 30, west of North CR 950W, Etna Green. Driver: Dana N. Wills, 39, North CR 175E Lot 82, Warsaw. Wills’ vehicle hit a deer. She complained of pain in both her knees but was not taken to a hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
• 2:39 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, Old SR 15, near West CR 900N, Milford. Drivers: Jerry D. Kammerer, 81, East Van Buren Street, Leesburg; and David L. Flynn, 72, West CR 900N, Milford. Kammerer stopped at the Old SR 15 and West CR 900N intersection, but did not see Flynn’s vehicle in the middle of the intersection when he continued traveling south. Damage up to $5,000.
• 12:52 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, East CR 900N, east of North Old SR 15, Leesburg. Drivers: James R. Lancaster, 47, EMS D22A Lane, Syracuse; and Joe A. Gochenour, 75, Williams Drive, Warsaw. Lancaster’s vehicle rear-ended Gochenour’s. Lancaster was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for a complaint of back pain. Damage up to $25,000.
• 9:37 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, CR 800W, south of West CR 400N, Etna Green. Driver: Brandon Montes Rodriguez, 19, West Old Road 30 Lot 623, Warsaw. Montes Rodriguez’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.

Fulton County

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:

• 7:26 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, North US 31 and East Olson Road, Rochester. Driver: Ronald A. Tunis, 55, Winamac. Tunis’ semitrailer braked to avoid a deer and went off the road.
