Head-On Collision Does Not Result In Major Injuries
PIERCETON — A head-on crash between two vehicles apparently did not cause major physical injuries to anyone involved.
Shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, first responders from North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Fire and EMS were called to the intersection of SR 13 and East South Barbee Lake Drive for a two-vehicle accident. At the scene, a grey Ford sedan and a silver Ford Expedition were found both pointing southward, the sedan on the southbound shoulder of the road and the Expedition on the northbound shoulder.
According to officials at the scene, occupants of both vehicles were examined at the scene but that no transport to local hospitals was required. An air ambulance was initially summoned to the scene but was told to disregard the call before it arrived. Both vehicles, however, sustained heavy front end damage and were not drivable from the scene.
Additionally, deputies from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, which backed up traffic in both directions on SR 13 as debris was cleaned up and the vehicles removed via flatbed trucks.
