Hawaiian Woman Flown Following Car Vs Semitrailer Crash

ARGOS — A Hawaiian woman was airlifted following a car and semitrailer accident.
At approximately 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a two vehicle collision with a semitrailer and a passenger car at the intersection of US 31 and SR 10.
When responders arrived on scene, dispatch was advised the driver of the passenger car was entrapped and could not get out. Officers were able to determine at the scene that Barbara Kamrow, 85, Hawaii, failed to yield to north bound traffic. The semitrailer, driven by Stephen Smith, 50, Wisconsin, was unable to avoid the collision with Kamrow’s vehicle.
Kamrow was flown by MedFlight with several body injuries, but in stable condition. Smith stated he was not injured at the scene.
Assisting at the scene were Argos Police Department, Argos EMS, Argos Fire Department, Tri-County Ambulance Service and MedFlight.
