ARGOS — A Hawaiian woman was airlifted following a car and semitrailer accident.

At approximately 12:25 p.m. Wednesday,​ March 20,​ ​Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a two vehicle collision with a semitrailer ​and a passenger ​car ​at the intersection of US 31 and SR 10.

When responders arrived on scene,​ dispatch was advised the driver of the passenger car was entrapped and could not get out. Officers were able to determine at the scene that Barbara Kamrow, 85, Hawaii,​ failed to yield to north bound traffic. The semitrailer,​ driven by Stephen Smith, 50, Wisconsin,​ was unable to avoid the collision with Kamrow’s vehicle.

Kamrow was flown by MedFlight ​with several body injuries,​ but in stable condition. Smith stated he was not injured at the scene. ​ ​

Assisting at the scene were Argos Police Department,​ Argos EMS,​ Argos Fire Department,​ Tri-County Ambulance Service and ​MedFlight. ​
