Food Bank Sets Mobile Distribution Hours For April

SOUTH BEND — The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced its mobile food distribution schedule for April.
Assorted food items are offered free of charge to those in need of food assistance. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. Distributions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, with one box or bag of food available per household.
Distribution events are drive-thru. Recipients should remain in their vehicle and open their trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
Helping to sponsor the distributions are Citizens Concerned for the Homeless, CVS and the Hardesty Memorial Endowment Fund through the Starke County Community Foundation.
Among mobile distributions in the area:
Kosciusko County
Noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the former Helping Hands Food Pantry, 10072 W. 600S, Mentone. The distribution is provided by the United States Department of Agriculture and will serve 250 households.
Elkhart County
9-11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, produce distribution at East Goshen Mennonite Church, 2019 E. Lincoln Way, Goshen. The distribution is sponsored by CVS and will serve 250 households.
1-3 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Clayton Homes, 66700 SR 19, Wakarusa. The distribution is sponsored by Clayton Homes and will serve 300 households.
Marshall County
10 a.m. to noon Friday, April 19, at Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos. The distribution is sponsored by the USDA and will serve 250 households.
