Syracuse Public Library — SPL Holds New Club For Teens
News Release
SYRACUSE — Teens in grades 6-12 can embrace their creativity with Syracuse Public Library’s new club. The Creativity Club will meet from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the downstairs meeting room, and teens can make a custom picture frame. For this project, they can bring a photo that librarians will print for them, or a photo can be taken at the library.
If teens already have an ongoing project, they can choose to work on it instead and use the library’s many art supplies.
Later in the week, teens can also join young adult video gaming, where they can play games on the library’s Nintendo Switch from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, in the Rosalyn Jones Room.
Children’s Programming
Home school and story time will take a break during the week of April 1. The fully booked art club, however, will meet as normal at 4 p.m. Monday, April 1.
Friends Meeting
The Friends of the Syracuse Public Library will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 4, in the downstairs meeting room. Since this meeting occurs before the library opens, attendees are asked to knock on the southernmost Harrison Street Door — nearest the staff parking lot — for entry.
