Adult, Child Injured In Single-Vehicle Rollover Accident Near Dewart Lake

SYRACUSE — A woman and child were seriously injured after a single-vehicle accident near Dewart Lake in Syracuse on Friday evening.
Just after 6 p.m. Friday, April 5, emergency personnel responded to a rollover accident at East CR 1000N and North CR 450E.
The woman was traveling west on East CR 1000N in a Chevrolet Trailblazer when her vehicle went off the north side of the roadway, entering a field and traveling across North CR 450E. A road marker and stop sign were damaged in the collision.
The Trailblazer rolled several times and both the woman and child were ejected from the vehicle.
One person was flown from the scene and a second person was transported via ground ambulance.
Responding agencies include the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Turkey Creek Fire Territory, Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory, and Memorial MedFlight.
