Ohio Man Arrested For Illegally Possessing Firearm, Marijuana In Kosciusko County

WARSAW — An Ohio man was recently arrested in Kosciusko County for illegally possessing a firearm and marijuana.
Devin Edward Starr, 35, Springfield, Ohio, is charged with possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon, a level 4 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On April 2, a Warsaw Police officer noticed a vehicle pulling a trailer with no license plate. The vehicle also crossed the fog line. The officer pulled the vehicle over and identified its driver as Starr.
According to court documents, the officer noticed the vehicle smelled like marijuana. Starr said there was about 1 1/2 ounces of marijuana and a firearm in the vehicle, and admitted to being a convicted felon.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a handgun, 37.6 grams of marijuana, and 34 grams of THC gummies.
Starr has a conviction for burglary in Florida from April 2012.
Starr was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on April 2. A photo of Starr was unavailable for publication.
