Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 1:23 a.m. Thursday, April 11, East McClintic Road, at the intersection of North CR 800E, Syracuse. Driver: Michael A. Ott, 49, South Poplar Drive, Syracuse. Ott’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting a Brightspeed utility pole. The accident caused the utility pole to break at its base. Ott was also arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $25,000.
• 7:33 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, North CR 300E, north of East CR 700N, Warsaw. Driver: Makayla J. Holder, 17, East Oldfield Drive, Leesburg. Holder’s vehicle hit a deer. Holder complained of a stiff neck but refused medical attention. Damage up to $5,000.
• 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, West SR 14, east of South CR 600W, Silver Lake. Driver: Janet Ashcraft, 55, East CR 125S, Akron. Ashcraft’s vehicle hit a deceased deer in the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
