UPDATE — Toyota Rolls Multiple Times Following Single Vehicle Accident

CLAYPOOL — A vehicle rolled multiple times following a single vehicle accident Wednesday, April 17.
At approximately 3:52 p.m. an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s office responded to a single vehicle accident on West Union Street south of SR 15 that had rolled multiple times. Lutheran EMS and Claypool Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at 3:54 p.m.
At the scene first responders discovered a gray 2002 Toyota Camry resting on its roof. Dispatch reported the driver was able to crawl out of the vehicle.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office report, Riley D. Hale, 17, Warsaw, was driving the Camry east. Hale’s vehicle crossed left of the center and continued to the north side of the road. Hale’s vehicle collided with an embankment, which caused it to roll several times until the Toyota came to a rest overturned in the eastbound lane.
Hale complained of pain to her hip and suffered abrasions on her arms and hands, the report said. She refused treatment at the scene.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory were dispatched at 4:01 p.m. to assist and were later disregarded. A helicopter was initially dispatched and was later disregarded.
Damages are estimated from $10,000 to $25,000.
