Warsaw Schools’ Staff Shares Safety Reminders
Press Release
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools’ administration would like to share some reminders for families and community members to ensure the safety of students, especially those students who walk or ride bicycles to school.
As the weather gets warmers, more students will be walking or riding bikes to school. WCS staff urge all drivers to be particularly vigilant in school zones and residential areas. Watch carefully for students crossing the street and always yield to pedestrians.
Parents and guardians are also encouraged to discuss the importance of obeying traffic signals and taking time to look both ways before crossing with their children. WCS staff recommend walking to school whenever possible, but for those students who choose to ride bikes, wearing a helmet is strongly recommended to ensure their safety.
