Dear Editor,

It has been an honor to serve you for the past 28 years as your commissioner. We have made great strides as a community to make our county a great place to live, work and play.

Knowing there is a smart, energetic person who loves our county running made the decision to retire an easier one.

I not only fully support and endorse Nate Scherer for Northern District Commissioner. I met with him and asked him if he would consider running for the office of commissioner.

Nate has ran a successful business, served on an economic development board, Joe’s Kids board, and participated in programs with Junior Achievement and Lakeland Youth Center.

He clearly understands the importance of supporting the industries that have supported our county over the generations. He is eager to work with our ag, orthopedic and advance manufacturing communities to ensure our place in the global economy remains strong for generations to come.

Nate is a Christian, conservative, businessman, and he is at a point in life where he has the time it takes to serve effectively. His vison and leadership will make a long lasting positive impact on our county.
