Clyde Campbell
Clyde Campbell, 91, of Leesburg, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Parkview Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born Feb. 4, 1933, in Arkansas. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, where along with serving in Japan, he was a member of the traveling Air Force baseball team, playing all over the world. He was an avid golfer, with four hole-in-ones to his credit. He retired from North Webster Elementary School, where he served as the head custodian for many years. Clyde was a good Christian man.
He is survived by his son, Charles Edward Campbell, of Warsaw, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie; and two sons, Douglas and John.
Services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 21, at the Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with his longtime friend, the Rev. Larry Burkhart, officiating. Calling will be two hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow at the Leesburg Cemetery with military honors.
