WARSAW — Two people were injured after a four-vehicle accident at the SR 15 and Anchorage Road intersection in Warsaw on Tuesday afternoon.

Warsaw Police Department responded to the accident at 3:21 p.m. Tuesday, May 21.

According to a WPD accident report, Larry D. Guyer, 68, Syracuse, was driving a blue 2012 Chevrolet Silverado and was attempting to turn left onto Anchorage Road from SR 15. He said he had a flashing yellow arrow when he began to turn. However, he entered the path of travel of a red 2002 Jeep Liberty driven by William T. Michael, 75, Warsaw. 

Michael had a green light at the time of the accident. 

The collision between Guyer and Michael’s vehicles caused Guyer’s vehicle to hit a black 2015 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Shepherd Goble, 77, Warsaw; and a white 2002 GMC Envoy, driven by Sherry L. Durflinger, 61, Ligonier. 

A passenger in Guyer’s vehicle, Lynn G. Guyer, 69, Syracuse, was trapped in the Silverado’s front right passenger seat and had to be extricated. Lynn had a cut on her right knee and complained of right knee pain. She was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for her injuries.

Michael sustained multiple cuts to his left arm, and complained of shoulder and hip pain. He was taken to Parkview Kosciusko Hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Guyer and Michael’s vehicles were towed from the scene. Goble and Durflinger were able to drive their vehicles from the scene. 

Damages are estimated up to $50,000.
