Elmore Arrested On Drug Charges After Overdose

WARSAW — A Warsaw teenager was arrested on drug charges following an overdose.
Jacob Wesley Elmore, 18, 1436 S. Oak St., Warsaw, is charged with possession of a narcotic drug with enhancing circumstances, a level 5 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On April 22, Warsaw Police officers responded to a residence regarding a drug overdose involving Elmore.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency personnel saw Elmore was unresponsive and initiated lifesaving procedures.
According to court documents, officers spoke with a child at the scene, who said they woke up and found Elmore was unresponsive. They said Elmore had taken pills in the past and gave officers a container with pills identified as fentanyl.
While in the home, officers found a bag with marijuana gummies and drug paraphernalia.
Elmore was arrested on these charges following a shooting incident on Rosemont Avenue in Warsaw on May 23.
