Shirley Fay Friend, 81, Kendallville, formerly of Columbia City, died Thursday, June 6, 2024, at home.

She was born Feb. 22, 1943. On April 19, 1971, she married Larry Friend.

She is survived by her children, Rob Friend, Kendallville, and Millisa (Michael) Burdette, Ligonier; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara (Alan) Gilbert and Wanda Carroll, both of Fort Wayne.

DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City, is handling arrangements.
