Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 5:01 p.m. Thursday, June 13, West US 30, at the intersection of CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Chassity L. Dillon, 50, North Main Street, Bourbon; and Bo L. Davis, 27, North Long Ridge Road, Columbia City. Dillon was traveling west on West US 30 and said the sun was extremely bright. She was unable to see if the traffic light at the CR 200N intersection was red or green. Davis was turning north onto CR 200N at a green arrow when Dillon entered his path of travel. Dillon sustained an injury to her left knee and complained of pain. Two passengers in Dillon’s vehicle were also injured. Darienne Davis, 21, Bourbon, complained of head pain. Aubree Adams, 7, Bourbon, sustained a minor bruise to her neck. Dillon, Davis, and Adams were all checked by medics at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:13 p.m. Thursday, June 13, East US 30, at Mile Marker 93, Warsaw. Drivers: Jaclyn T. Reece, 48, Queen Road, Plymouth; Lisa H. Bailey, 55, West CR 400S, North Judson; and Larry E. Ruff, 67, North CR 350W, Warsaw. Reece’s vehicle rear-ended Bailey’s, which resulted in Bailey’s vehicle rear-ending Ruff’s. Damage up to $50,000.
- 1:38 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 1500 Provident Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Rebecca Kopka, 46, North CR 48E, Winamac. Kopka was attempting to park her vehicle when she hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:50 p.m. Thursday, June 13, SR 15, at the intersection of Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Patricia A. Darling, 77, North Riverlawn Drive, Warsaw; and Michelle A. Pierson, 44, East CR 300N, Warsaw. Pierson was attempting to continue straight through SR 15 to Jalynn Street when the light at the intersection turned from green to yellow. Darling’s vehicle turned left in front of Pierson’s vehicle, resulting in a collision. Darling and Pierson both complained of chest pain. A passenger in Darling’s vehicle, Rodney L. Darling, 77, Warsaw, also complained of chest pain. The Darlings were taken to Parkview Warsaw for evaluation. Pierson was checked at the scene by medics. Damage up to $25,000.
- 6:44 a.m. Thursday, June 13, North SR 15, south of West CR 150N, Warsaw. Driver: Tameka Warren, 30, Faunn Street, Winona Lake. Warren’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
- 4:39 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 614 W. Winona Ave., Warsaw. Drivers: Sarah M. Howard, 35, West Winona Avenue, Warsaw; and Wade V. Adams, 35, South Edgewater Drive, Silver Lake. Howard was backing her vehicle into an alley when she hit Adams’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:41 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, Bronson Street, at the intersection of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: John D. Ayres, 55, East CR 600N, North Webster; and Latosha L. Douglas, 49, North Sherman Street, Warsaw. Ayres failed to yield to Douglas’ vehicle while attempting to turn east onto East Center Street. Two passengers in Douglas’ vehicle, Larita L. Mason, 66, Warsaw; and Tearra E. Douglas, 16, Warsaw, both complained of knee pain but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:09 p.m. Saturday, June 1, Jalynn Street, at the intersection of North SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: Maria Del Rosario Nunez Sauza, 51, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw; and Bryan Gonzalez Cerda, 23, East CR 200N Lot 10, Warsaw. Nunez Sauza was attempting to turn south onto North SR 15 when she hit Gonzalez Verda’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
