Valerie L. Kirkpatrick — UPDATED
Valerie L. “Val” Kirkpatrick, of North Webster, passed away peacefully surrounded by love and warmth with her devoted partner by her side on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the age of 58.
Born on July 19, 1965, in the vibrant city of Washington, D.C., Val was the daughter of Charles Kirkpatrick and Ruby Snow.
Val wore various hats with grace and finesse. Armed with an associate degree from Ivy Tech, she ventured into computer programming and data processing in business management before transitioning to the nurturing role she embraced in day care settings. Val left an enduring mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Val’s interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. Whether she was casting a line while fishing, basking in the beauty of the outdoors or instilling values through softball coaching, Val’s zest for life was infectious. Her true joy emanated from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Val leaves behind a legacy that continues to inspire and uplift those she held dear. Among those mourning her loss are partner, Linda Leslie; daughter, Tracie Cooper; grandchildren, Brittany Zartman, Brianne Willis and Brooklyn Cooper; great-grandchildren, Emma and Quinton Zartman and Ophelia Willis; siblings, Andrew, Charles and Theresa Kirkpatrick; as well as an uncle, Tim Senter. She was preceded in death by her parents and aunt, Mildred Senter.
Titus Funeral Home of North Webster is entrusted with Val’s care. Friends and family may gather to honor Valerie’s memory at Mock Cemetery — North Webster Addition at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, for a graveside service.
