Beacon Announces Construction Of Mishawaka Outpatient Center
News Release
MISHAWAKA — Beacon Health System will begin construction this summer on a new $21.7 million outpatient center, strategically located on the northeast corner of Lincoln Way East and Church Street in downtown Mishawaka, across from the Mishawaka Public Library.
The Beacon Mishawaka Outpatient Center will feature a two-story, 25,500-square-foot facility, designed to provide a comprehensive range of healthcare services in a convenient location. Beacon Medical Group primary care and select specialty physicians will be housed in the outpatient center.
On the upper level, patients will have access to a full suite of advanced imaging services, including MRI, X-ray, CT scan, mammography and ultrasound, as well as exam and procedure rooms equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment technologies. The main level will focus on physical therapy services, including orthopedic rehabilitation, pre- and post-surgical care and other therapies. Convenient parking will be available between Main and Church streets, ensuring easy access for all patients.
“This new location is driven by growing patient demand not only for care close to home, but also for convenient access to outpatient services, including physician visits, procedures, diagnostics and imaging,” said Diane Maas, Chief Strategy and Digital Growth Officer. “Building in the heart of downtown Mishawaka underscores our commitment to improving patient access and delivering convenient healthcare.”
The demolition of the former PNC bank, originally Valley American Bank, and the Mishawaka Utilities business office building on the site is scheduled to begin in early August, with the construction of the new outpatient center starting in early September. The Beacon Mishawaka Outpatient Center is anticipated to open its doors in early 2026.
“Beacon Health System’s state-of-the-art facility will not only bring essential healthcare services closer to our residents, but also revitalize a key corner of our city at Lincoln Way and Church Street,” said Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood. “We are committed to fostering a healthier community, and this outpatient center is a testament to our ongoing dedication to the well-being and prosperity of Mishawaka.”
