Janice Claire Whitt, 81, South Whitley, died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Peabody Retirement Community.

She was born Oct. 19, 1942. On July 28, 1962, she married John Wallace Whitt, who preceded her in death in 2011.

She is survived by her children, Michael Whitt, South Whitley, and Marvin (Sherry) Whitt and Amy (Trent) Szelis, both of Huntington; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brothers, Alan (Beth) Darley, Rex (Deb Lancaster) Darley and Scott (Rhonda) Darley, all of South Whitley.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, is handling arrangements.
