North Webster Community Public Library — Thanks Summer Reading Sponsors For Encouraging Education

NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library has announced the success of this year’s summer reading program, made possible through the generous support of local business sponsors. Their donations of money, coupons and other prizes have been instrumental in fostering a love of reading and learning among the community’s youth.
The NWCPL summer reading program, which encourages children to engage with books and develop their literacy skills over the summer months, has seen record participation this year. Thanks to the support from sponsors, participants were able to enjoy a range of exciting incentives and rewards, making their reading journey even more rewarding.

Holiday Closing
NWCPL will be closed on Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day. The library will be open for regular business hours the rest of the week.
Weekly Library Events
The following activities are set to take place at North Webster Community Public Library. Attendees do not need to have a library card to participate in any of these events. All programs are free unless otherwise noted.
Adult Events
Roots & Branches Genealogy Club will be meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3. Learn how to trace your ancestors’ movements across country using census records and more.
Teen Events
Teen Video Game Night will be happening at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 1. Students in grades 6-12 are invited to the library for an epic gaming experience featuring Minecraft, Roblox, Mario Kart and more. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Teens can come to the library at noon July 2 to learn how to make 3-D stars out of paper bags. Perfect for decorating your room or outdoor celebrations. No registration required.
Children’s Events
Movie Monday will be happening at the library at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 1. This week’s featured film will be “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.” This movie is rated PG. Join in for snacks and a movie on the library’s big screen TV.
Family Story Time will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 2. Library staff member, Cathy Ervin, will be sharing stories and fun in this program geared toward ages 2-7.
Professor Steve will be joining in at 10:30 a.m.Wednesday, July 3. He will be taking everyone on an excellent adventure that is sure to entertain and amaze. No tickets required; just come join the fun.
Join in for an exciting LEGO adventure at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 5. Can you use your creativity and quick thinking to survive unexpected LEGO world disasters? This event is geared toward students ages 5-12.
Saturday Craft Adventures will be happening from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6. This week they will be making hot air balloon crafts.
