News Release
WARSAW — Court Appointed Special Advocates of Kosciusko County won the Gold Telly in the Not-For-Profit Non-Broadcast category at the record-breaking 45th annual Telly Awards.
Written, directed, and produced by local organization DreamOn Studios, this prestigious accolade is part of DreamOn’s impressive collection of ten Telly Awards, including five won this year alone.
The Telly Awards are judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, and production companies. This year’s winners include industry giants such as Adobe, Calvin Klein, ESPN, LinkedIn, Mother Jones, MTV Entertainment Studios, NASA, the LA Clippers, PlayStation Studios, Sawhorse Productions and TelevisaUnivision.
“Here at DreamOn Studios, we wanted to create something that not only embodies Kosciusko County but also resonates with our community. We were fortunate enough to make that happen. For us, our goal aligned perfectly with the CASA team’s — it’s all about the kids in our community and how we can serve them and ensure they get the support they need,” said Matt Deuel, executive producer at DreamOn Studios.
“In 2023, 175 children required our services, and this year alone, we’ve already been involved in 158 cases,” said Erin Rowland Jones, executive director of CASA of Kosciusko County. “It looks like our caseload will surpass last year’s, and we can’t manage that without more volunteers. Raising awareness about CASA is crucial for the children in our community. This video beautifully tells the story of what CASA does, and we’re incredibly grateful for that.”
The award-winning cinematic promo highlights the crucial role that CASA volunteers play in supporting and advocating for the children of Kosciusko County. With over 175 kids needing a CASA volunteer last year alone, there is an urgent need for more volunteers who are essential in helping children find safe and permanent homes.
CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children entangled in the Kosciusko County court system. For more information or to learn how you can become a CASA volunteer, visit the website.
