Staff Report
WARSAW — A Mentone man was arrested for allegedly entering a Warsaw home and several vehicles without owners’ permission.
Draven Lupica, 26, 2774 S. 900W, Mentone, is charged with residential entry, a level 6 felony; and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, a class B misdemeanor.
Around 4:30 a.m. May 26, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a residential entry report in Warsaw. A man gained entry into a woman’s residence, lifted the covers on her bed, and fled out the home’s back door.
Upon arrival at the scene, the deputy saw the man, later identified as Lupica, fleeing from the scene. According to court documents, Lupica said he was trying to get home from the Time Out Inn.
While investigating the call, officers saw several vehicles in the area that appeared to have been entered and ransacked. Surveillance footage from a nearby residence showed a person matching Lupica’s appearance getting into a parked vehicle and looking around inside it.
Lupica has a pretrial conference on Aug. 29, in Kosciusko Superior Court One.
