Missing Logansport Teen Found Safe; Teen’s Parents Arrested

LOGANSPORT — A Logansport teenager who has been missing since June 16 has been located and is safe.
On June 28, a Silver Alert was issued for Bryson Muir, 14, Logansport, with the Indiana State Police Peru Post investigating Bryson’s disappearance.
Around 6 a.m. Thursday, July 3, members of the Indiana State Police SWAT team executed search and arrest warrants, both issued by the Cass County Circuit Court, on Daniel and Kristin Muir’s residence at 1740 W. US 24, Logansport. Daniel and Kristin are Bryson’s father and mother.
According to an ISP press release, the operation led to the discovery of Daniel, Kristin, and Bryson at the home. Daniel and Kristin were both taken into custody without incident and remanded to the Cass County Jail. Bryson, who appeared safe and well, was released to the care and custody of the Cass County Department of Child Services.
Daniel and Kristin are each charged with obstruction of justice, a level 6 felony. Daniel was also charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.
ISP received assistance from the Logansport Police Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
This is an active criminal investigation, and as such, there is no further information to release at this time. ISP continues to encourage the public to come forward with any information they may have involving the incident with Bryson by calling either the Peru Post at (800) 382-0689 or 911.
