Plymouth Woman Arrested For OWI After Wrecking Vehicle
Staff Report
ATWOOD — A Plymouth woman with a prior OWI conviction was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, wrecking her vehicle and injuring herself.
Tasha Lyn Livinghouse-Alexander, 48, 415 Lake Ave., Plymouth, is charged with operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to 0.15 or more, a class A misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.15 or more with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.
On April 5, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a vehicle accident on Main Street in Atwood. Upon arrival, deputies saw the vehicle’s driver, identified as Livinghouse-Alexander, with physical injuries.
According to court documents, while she was inside an ambulance for treatment, deputies noticed the strong smell of alcohol from Livinghouse-Alexander’s person. She was then taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend after sustaining substantial injuries to her facial region, including abrasions and swelling in her jaw area. At the time, she was unable to pinpoint a certain location that was suffering from pain rather than just her whole body.
Livinghouse-Alexander agreed to a certified chemical test, which resulted in a 0.26% BAC.
Livinghouse-Alexander was previously convicted of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in Kosciusko County in March 2021.
Livinghouse-Alexander has been arrested and released on bond.
