Rochester Man Killed In Old US 31 Wreck

ROCHESTER — A Rochester man was killed in a wreck on North Old US 31 outside Rochester on Tuesday afternoon, July 2.
According to information from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Fulton County Coroner’s Office, Quinton R. Sayger, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, Kenneth Hendricks, 37, Plymouth, was flown from the scene in serious condition.
First responders were called out to the wreck near 4960 N. Old US 31, Rochester, at 4:17 p.m.
Sayger was driving a 1998 Buick LeSabre and Hendricks a 2011 Dodge Avenger. According to information from the Indiana State Police, Sayger’s southbound vehicle crossed the center line for an unknown reason, causing a collision with Hendricks’ northbound vehicle.
The crash is still under investigation. ISP said alcohol and drug use are not suspected in the crash at this time.
Also responding to the scene were the Rochester Police Department, Parkview EMS, the Fulton County Emergency Management Agency and Rochester Fire Department.
