WARSAW — A woman will serve a three-year sentence locally for drug possession.
Diamond Nicole Holden, 28, Albion, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony. Two additional criminal charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Holden was sentenced in Kosciusko Circuit Court on Monday, July 8.
Kosciusko Circuit Court Judge Michael Reed sentenced Holden to three years in the Kosciusko County Jail. This case will be served back-to-back to another criminal case Holden has.
Reed said Holden can serve the first half of her sentence through the county’s work release program. The second half can be served through either work release or community corrections.
Holden has nine days of jail time credit, plus good time credit as calculated.
On March 15, 2023, an Indiana State Police trooper was near North Webster when he noticed a vehicle cross the center of the roadway multiple times and then travel all the way over to the right side of the road.
Holden was a passenger in the vehicle at the time. According to court documents, when the trooper pulled the vehicle over, he found clear containers with meth residue.
Holden was previously convicted of meth possession in Noble County in February 2021.
