WARSAW — A Warsaw man was flown from the scene of a single-vehicle accident east of Atwood late Friday afternoon.

At 4:34 p.m. Friday, July 5, emergency personnel responded to a single-vehicle accident on West Crystal Lake Road, near North Parks Schram Road, Warsaw.

According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office accident report, Franklin H. Pfeiffer, 80, Warsaw, was driving a black 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Limited west on West Crystal Lake Road. Pfeiffer’s vehicle left the south side of the roadway, entering a culvert and becoming airborne.

The Cruze then re-entered the eastbound lanes of the roadway and hit a road sign.

Pfeiffer was unable to provide details on the accident due to his injuries. He was flown from the scene for knee, lower leg, and foot injuries.

Damages are estimated up to $10,000.
